It is late tonight, but I don't want to miss writing this. Naomi had her first "date" tonight. She text me from school and asked if we could get movies and if she could invite a friend over. I jokingly said, "Sure, what's his name". She text back, "kenzy(sp?). Don't make fun of him."
Anyway, she was pretty nervous. But the guy seemed pretty nice, and kept his hands to himself, so everyone survived the night. :) We watched some pretty dang funny movies, had pizza and the kids had soda(a rare treat for them, I don't normally indulge)...
I am afraid I did make fun of him though. I can't help it. I mean come on, how often do you get to call a guy Spuds Mc Kenzy?!? And he does not even watch Adventure Time!?! How can he be right for my daughter if the does not know how cool Fin and Jake are!?!
She was pretty happy. I like it when my baby is happy. Warms my cockles. :)

We all stink a little...
When I was in high school, and still regularly attending the LDS church, I would often to go to activities with the other guys and girls my age at our ward building. Often the guys would play basketball. I was not any good at it, but I played from time to time.
One time after working up a really good sweat I went and sat on the piano bench up on the stage. My girlfriend at the time came up sitting by and embracing me from behind. I instantly became self concious of my smell.
I said something elegant like, "I stink."
To my surprise her reply was "You remind me of my grandfather".
Before I could think, I said, "Your grand father smells like BO?"
And she just cooly replied "sometimes".
I don't know what it is about that moment, but I think of her everytime I really stink now...

Is that all???
Okay, obviously I did not keep writing here. I had at least a dozen stories to tell, half planned out. Recenlty I began reading a dear friends blog and thought to myself, "Self, what the HECK? Write in your blog!" So here I am.
